Aged care funding - Annecto

Aged care funding

Not for profit, we're here for you

Depending on your circumstances, there are a range of aged care funding options available to fund your support services. There are a few factors in understanding which of the following funding options will apply to you:

  • Government funded
  • Self funded
  • A combination of both

There are a range of other government funding options that you may be eligible for to assist with aged care funding. We can help you navigate through the process of understanding what financial support is available to you and how you can apply to access it.

The Home Care Package (HCP) program provides government-funded home care across four levels of support to help you keep your independence and lifestyle, and live in your own home for longer.

If you are eligible for this aged care funding, you can use it to access a range of services in the home and community, so you can live a valued and included life. Annecto can support you in determining your eligibility and preparing for your assessment. Contact us today to learn more.

Who is eligible?

You may be eligible for a Home Care Package if you are:

  • Aged 65 years or older
  • Aged 50 years or older and identify as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person

There are four levels of Home Care Packages to help meet different needs and your personal circumstance. During your aged care assessment, your assessor will discuss your current care needs and determine the best level to meet them.

Level 1

Basic assistance is designed to give you a little extra support to help stay independent. This might include one or two visits a week from a support worker. Care can include some help with cleaning and tidying around the house, supporting you with your personal health, such as grooming and dressing, or getting some help with meals, shopping and transport.

Level 2

Similar to basic assistance, a low level of care, is designed to give you a little extra support to help stay independent. This might include three or four visits a week from a care worker. Care can include some help with cleaning and tidying around the house, supporting you with your personal health, such as grooming and dressing, or getting some help with meals, shopping and transport.

Level 3

Services for people who need more support to stay living at home. This might include visits from a care worker or a nurse most days of the week. Beyond a little help in the home, you can also access support from our trained medical staff, including podiatry services, massage and virtual nurse health monitoring.

Level 4

High-level care is suitable if you have complex nursing needs. This includes assistance with domestic, medical, or nursing support. This might include visits every day from a care worker or a nurse.
