This year, annecto Practice Consultant Lucy Murphy joins a panel discussion on the value of creative partnerships to impact change and share story. As part of the 2016 Australian Industry Documentary Conference, the discussion follows a screening of the powerful documentary Defiant Lives. The conversation will centre around the upcoming campaigns for two documentaries, The Wake, and Defiant Lives, but will also extend to the benefits of partnerships to strategy in general.
Lucy believes it is important for social purpose organisations to continue to be involved in developing leadership around systemic change.
“We need to look at where we have come from to learn about what is working and what isn’t and what further conversations we can have to ensure change continues and everyone is part of that conversation.”
The afternoon will be split up into two sections for each documentary respectively:
PART 1 FILM – The Wake
Topics: Climate Change, Climate Refugees and Immigration Policy, Climate Justice.
PART 2 FILM – Defiant lives
Topics: Disability Rights, Activism, Diversity, Disability Pride
