Jason is a strong advocate for young people in nursing homes as a representative on the Department of Human Services My Future My Choice Advisory Committee.

The Speakers Bank is comprised of public speakers with personal experience of disability.

All Speakers Bank speakers are trained in public speaking and are eager to share with the community the story of their lives, their experiences and their challenges.  Speakers present a positive image of disability to the community providing information about the challenges people with disability face in their lives.

Mission

Speakers Bank raises awareness, acceptance and understanding of disability through the power of communication.

Audiences

Speakers address community groups about their disability experiences relating to work, social, and recreational pursuits. Audiences include primary, secondary and tertiary education providers, corporate and not-for-profit organisations, health sector and service groups.

Accessibility

As some speakers use wheelchairs or mobility aids; accessibility access is essential. Some speakers may attend with a carer to assist in their presentations.
