Reorienting Day Services forums

On Friday 5 August LIRDS North West project hosted A Conversation to What's Possible in disability support. Seventy sector leaders from across the North West metropolitan region, attended and workshopped on reorienting day services considering a human rights framework.

Keynote speakers were Christine Walton Executive officer of Australian Disability Development Consortium, followed by Lisa Smith of Minds at Work.  The objectives were to raise awareness and provide an introduction through a rights based approach.  LIRDS North West hosted their second families forums Friday 19 August at Footscray Arts Centre.
LIRDS provided information and support to individuals and families around the changes in funding to day services.
